May 7- Mannywood was just too good to be true. After all of the years of steroids, reports, and leaked info, another star has fallen. Manny is 100% accountable for his actions. He knows the rules and was too lazy or ignorant to see if what he was taking was, or contained, a banned substance.  I did the math…162 game season, 22 million a year salary, 50 game ban. It was an 8 million dollar doctor visit…OUCH.  Fantasy Spin- Bench his ignorant ass or trade him for peanuts.

Who’s Hot?-

Greinke….still. With an ERA lower than these editors sperm counts he is damn near untradable.

Albert Callaspo- this young stud 2B is yet another breakout guy for the Royals…THE FUCKING ROYALS!!! The Royals are 7 games over .500 and leading the AL Central.  He’s batting .359 for the season, leads the league with 13 doubles,  and shows no signs of stopping. He’s owned in only 13.2% of ESPN leagues. Pick him up while he’s hot.

Who’s Not-

Manny-siiiigh…fuckin’ Manny being Manny

Good Day, baseball Nerds

April 30- Just a few quick notes and tidbits from what I’ve seen around the league…

1)Zach Greinke is the real fuckin’ deal…even though he’s probably depressed about it…pfft, fuckin’ pussy

2)Kevin Millwood is in a contract year and if he hits 180 innings, he’s gettin’ paid…pick him up

3)Jorge Cantu-swinging a hot bat but he can be streaky. Did ya’ll know he was born in McAllen, TX?

4)Brandon Inge-great move by the Tigers to pick up Gerald Laird from Texas in the off-season. This gave Inge the chance to play 3rd where he is more comfortable, and his defensive and offensive numbers prove it. (to add to the nerd mystique I went to go see one of the pitchers, Guillermo Moscoso, the Tigers traded for Laird and he looked good, 7 IP, 1 ER, 4 K’s for the AA Frisco RoughRiders)

That is all…Good Day

April 27- OK, this is my first installment of what will be a bi-weekly post on how to make your team better…but not as good as mine. Let’s start off by saying I know more than you.  I will simply put a buy/sell/hold post today…

Buy-

RP Tor- Scott Downs- With B.J Ryan on the DL and more than likely having to pitch a few rehab assignments, Downs will get you some much needed saves in shallow leagues.

RP StL- Ryan Franklin-In what seems like a revolving door of relievers, Franklin has taken the spot from a shitty Jason Motte and looked great. Had another good save tonight against the Braves.

SP Det-Rick Porcello-The youngest guy in the majors but he is the real deal. Had a great first start but was a bit shaky in this second. The crown jewel of the Tigers farm system will have a good season and will be a good addition in deeper leagues or AL only leagues.

SS Tex-Elvis Andrus-The second youngest guy in the majors will not get you much power but he will get you some much needed runs batting at the bottom of the order with guys like Kinsler, Young, and Hamilton bringing him in.

OF Pit- Nyjer Morgan- Batting .329 with 6 SB’s and 13 runs, this guy is raking right now. Look for him to get you some speed.

Sell-

2B Fla- Emilio Bonifacio- After a blistering start, he has come back down to earth…along with the rest of the Marlins bats.

2B, SS- Mike Aviles- Alot of experts liked his potential but his .175 AVG thus far is indicative of the Royals offense.

Hold-

C Pit- Ryan Doumit- Yes, he went on the 15 day DL and will be out for about 8 more weeks but he’s worth taking up your DL spot until his return. This injury prone beast led all catchers last year with a .318 AVG and will definetely be back with a big bat.  Look for Jarrod Saltalamacchia and John Baker to patch the hole in the meantime.

See you in a few days
